Elegant Bride’s Preparation at Sinterina Estate: the importance of being earnest
Ψάχνοντας στη βιβλιοθήκη του κτήματος Sinterina, βρήκα ένα βιβλίο που αγαπώ ιδιαίτερα, «The Importance of Being Earnest» του Oscar Wilde. Με τράβηξε αμέσως λόγω του θέματος — ένας γάμος. Αποφάσισα να το χρησιμοποιήσω ως σκηνικό για τις λεπτομέρειες του γάμου, τόσο μεταφορικά όσο και για την αισθητική του ως αντικείμενο. Τα χρώματα του γάμου και το νυφικό είχαν έναν απόλυτα ρομαντικό και βικτωριανό χαρακτήρα, οπότε πιστεύω ότι το βιβλίο τα συμπλήρωσε ιδανικά.
Looking through the library of the Sinterina estate, I found a book I am quite fond of “The importance of being earnest” by none other than Oscar Wild, immediately drawn to it because of its theme-“marriage”, I decided to use it as a prop for the wedding details, both metaphorically and for its aesthetics as an object. The wedding colors and the wedding gown was utterly romantic and victorian so I think complemented it entirely

Ο γάμος της Αναστασίας και του Δημήτρη στο Κτήμα Sinterina ήταν μια πραγματικά κομψή γιορτή, που συνδύασε τη μοντέρνα αφήγηση με διαχρονικές ελληνικές παραδόσεις. Στην κουζΙνα της ΧΑρις ΑλεξΙου στο ΜΑΕΣΤΡΟ
Αν έχετε δει το ΜΑΕΣΤΡΟ του Παπακαλιάτη, υπάρχει μια φοβερή σκηνή που η Χαρις Αλεξίου φτιάχνει κάποια πολυ ιδιαίτερα μπισκοτάκια. Είχα λοιπόν στην διάθεσή μας αυτή την κουζίνα για λιγα λεπτά κατα την προετοιμασία της νύφης μας. Σκέφτηκα οτι ειναι τελείως iconic και ετσι πήγαμε να βγάλουμε μερικές φωτογραφίες και εκεί.
This kitchen is one of the places where a famous greek show takes place. We had a few minutes before the bride got ready, so took some memorable photos at this iconic location.
Our couple did not want many staged moments and preferred a simple, spontaneous wedding. There was no cake, first dance, couple’s entrance, or greetings at the tables. They wanted to truly live their day, and aside from a few photo sessions during small breaks in the wedding, all other photography was done completely spontaneously in various moments throughout the celebration. This is something we ourselves truly enjoy.
Το ζευγάρι μας δεν θέλησε να κάνει πολλά απο τα στημένα και ήθελε έναν γάμο απέριττο και αυθόρμητο. Δεν υπήρχε τουρτα, πρωτος χορός, είσοδος ζευγαριού και χαιρετούρα στα τραπέζια. Ηθελαν να ζήσουν την μέρα τους, πέρα απο μερικά session με φωτογραφίες κατα τα μικρά κενά χρόνου στον γάμο, όλη η υπόλοιπη φωτογράφιση έγινε εντελώς αυθόρμητα σε διάφορες στιγμές του γάμου. Αυτό είναι κατι που απολαμβάνουμε και οι ίδιοι.

CHECKING THE LAST DETAILS, FLOWERS AND TABLESCAPES BEFORE WE GO TO THE CEREMONY
Just outside the house where the bride is preparing, the tables are elegantly arranged for the wedding party. Simple wooden monastery tables, left uncovered, showcase the striking contrast between the rich, deep brown wood, the gleaming silver cutlery, and the pristine white plates. An assortment of glass vases are scattered around the tables, with minimal greenery and white flowers. White candles will light up the night enhancing the romantic atmosphere. The wedding favours are a small taste of Greece. A local Mastic liquer & sweets, the perfect memory of this sweet affair.
WEDDING PREPARATION AT SINTERINA VILLA THE GROOM AND THE BOYS & FAM
TBridal preparation took place in two separate villas within the estate, one for the bride and her brideswomen, and one for Dimitris and his groomsmen. This setup allowed both parties to get ready comfortably and privately, while giving us the opportunity to capture natural, storytelling moments as they prepared for the day. From laughter with friends to the quiet anticipation before seeing each other, every frame told a story.
Η προετοιμασία του ζευγαριού έγινε σε δύο διαφορετικές βίλες μέσα στο κτήμα — μία για τη νύφη και τις φίλες της και μία για τον Δημήτρη και τους κουμπάρους του. Αυτός ο διαχωρισμός επέτρεψε σε όλους να ετοιμαστούν άνετα και ιδιωτικά, ενώ μας έδωσε την ευκαιρία να απαθανατίσουμε φυσικές, αφηγηματικές στιγμές της προετοιμασίας. Από τα γέλια με τους φίλους μέχρι τη σιωπηλή αναμονή πριν συναντηθούν, κάθε φωτογραφία αφηγείται μία ιστορία.
HERE COMES THE BRIDE IN SYNTERINA GREECE
The bride walks down through the luscious green garden towards the stone church. Its a short walk, but so beautiful to have the chance to take great pics, as the sun starts to set a soft light creates a relaxed and romantic atmosphere.
The chapel is ancient, surrounded by timeless ruins. The ceremony is Greek, deeply rooted in centuries-old traditions. At the conclusion, the couple drinks wine from the same cup, symbolizing their promise to share everything.

Candlelit Outdoor wedding dinner party in Sinterina Estate
Dinner took place outdoors under the soft glow of candlelight. Long tables set elegantly in the garden allowed guests to enjoy the warm evening, while delicate décor and flowers added to the romantic atmosphere. Later, the modern party kicked off outside, with a DJ and cinematic lighting transforming the estate into a vibrant celebration space.
Το δείπνο πραγματοποιήθηκε στον εξωτερικί χώρο , κάτω από το απαλό φως των κεριών. Μακριά, κομψά τραπέζια στους κήπους επέτρεψαν στους καλεσμένους να απολαύσουν τη ζεστή βραδιά, ενώ η διακόσμηση και τα λουλούδια ενίσχυσαν τη ρομαντική ατμόσφαιρα. Αργότερα, το παρτυ ξεκίνησε, με DJ και κινηματογραφικό φωτισμό που μετέτρεψε το κτήμα σε έναν ζωντανό χώρο γιορτής.
