Hello! I'm Christina Ava, founder and lead cinematographer of Lulumeli, and I come from a family of artists where creativity has always been a way of life. As a devoted traveler and passionate storyteller behind the lens, I've turned my lifelong love for photography and cinematography into my calling.

After 15 fulfilling years in the telecommunications industry, I took a courageous leap to pursue what truly lights me up. These arts had been part of me for years—quietly growing until they became impossible to ignore. In 2011, I founded Lulumeli, now a leading boutique photography and cinematography studio based in Athens, specializing in intimate, authentic weddings across the Greek islands, the Athenian Riviera, and destinations worldwide.

Lulumeli is a team—a carefully selected group of highly skilled photographers and cinematographers who share the same artistic vision and dedication to real moments. We work closely together, ensuring every wedding gets full, seamless coverage with no surprises or unfamiliar faces on your day. The people you connect with during planning are the same ones capturing your storyprofessional, discreet, and fully invested.

My foundation blends tech and art: I studied in London, earning a BSc in Software Systems and an MA in Interactive Production. Those multicultural years fueled my passion for global storytelling through multimedia—skills I now bring to every cinematic film and luminous photograph.

Weddings feel like a beautifully feminine world to me, and I've loved collaborating with talented women across the industry: planners, florists, makeup artists, and fellow creatives. During the pandemic, when community and support became essential, I launched Elope in Greece—a curated network that combines my expertise with the best female wedding professionals in Greece. It's all about making destination weddings stress-free and magical for couples who value emotion over perfection.

Today, I live in Athens with my son Jason, who inspires my work every day (he's already exploring his own little camera!). Our team travels for select elopements and weddings—whether on sun-kissed Greek islands, heritage spots in Athens, or farther afield—capturing love stories with heart, technical excellence, and effortless grace.
